This is the very first postcard ever taken. Dad was proud of it. It’s cut in half for some reason and Dad scotched tapped it to the inside of our kitchen cabinet.  In this picture you can see the early signs of the wooden balconies. The stairs leading down to the ocean are very different today. Notice there are 2 turrets and just look at the arches and curves of the Spanish Colonial style. We still can see the hotel with this piece of architect today minus the turrets and wooden balconies.
