That may be Herman who worked for my dad as manager during the day while my dad worked till 2:00 am. The store was often this busy. As people entered they tripped a very loud bell. Customers came in from the beach for cold drinks to residents in need of milk or liquor. There was a large assortment of products customers could purchase.

After 1957 once the front area was remodeled and the liquor store built. New sign on top the suites. The architect, friend of the Smith's, is Chris Abel.

Postcard-Liquor Store

1957 marks the completion of the new liquor store. Chris Abel, friends with the Smiths, gave them the architect plans. You see a lot of Chris's wood which is part of his signature he became famous for over the following years.
